Who pays the domestic, you or me?
We the company ‘Home clean’ pay the domestics
What if I have pets?
Please let us know if you have pets when you book and we
will find you domestic who is happy to work around both cats
and dogs
What happens if I move house?
We would be happy to transfer your account to another
address within our covering areas

What happens if I go away or don’t need the
service for a period of time?
Let us know at least 24 hours before you leave. You can
freeze your service as long as you wish and you will not be
charged for it at all. If you are going away for more than a
month then we may find a different Domestic, but we will
inform you about any changes
How do you ensure quality of your domestics?
Our Domestics are interviewed at our office to ensure the
suitability of the applicant. In addition to that we require
domestics to provide us with verifiable proof of identification,
address and two references, one of which has to be a
previous employer

What do I do if the domestic doesn't turn up?
Should this happen, please call us and we will endeavour to
arrange replacement cover
What are your domestics working hours?
Our domestics work hours are mon-fri 8am-4pm (Saturdays
are available)
Can my domestic come when I am at work?
You can leave a set of keys with the domestic. You don't
have to be in on the day the domestic comes
What happens if we are not happy with the
domestic?
If you think that the domestic doesn't meet your expectations
please give us a call or simply email us and we will have a
chat with them. If on the second visit you are still not satisfied
then we will send a new domestic
Do your staff have permission to work in the UK?
Home clean uses only domestics who are fully legal to work
in the UK. We are very strict in this area, both for the
protection of our clients, the company and it's reputation
Do your staff speak english?
All our staff can communicate in english. If you have any
problems, please contact the office

How long will it take you to find me a domestic?
We try to supply you with a suitable domestic within 7 days
Who provides the cleaning materials?
We use your cleaning materials. Clients like the comfort of
buying the cleaning materials they like, so their home can
smell and feel exactly how they would like it to, however the
domestics may make suggestions for certain products
Can your staff wash laundry, iron and shop?
Our domestics are prepared to meet the majority of your
needs. Just tell us what you would like us to do and we will
take care of it or advise you accordingly. NB: NO
HANDWASHING
When can we contact your office?
You can contact us anytime! Our normal business hours are
from 7:30am to 6.30pm weekdays. There is an answer
service available for any urgent messages

What is the minimum number of hours?
As a minimum we do 1 hour a week for regular
cleaning/ironing and minimum 2 hours for one-off cleaning
Do I have to be at home when the domestic
Comes?
No..........not necessarily - 85% of our Clients we are key
holders for, however we do suggest the first visit you can be
there to meet and greet your domestic if possible
Do you have insurance?
Yes........all domestics are covered with full public liability
insurance
Can I get same time slot each week?
Yes........generally this is how we work - it adds continuity for
both client and domestic
Key security
Our careful domestic vetting and monitoring means that we
do not have any problems with key security
Do I have to pay a cancellation fee?
Depending on the circumstances you may have to but please
see our terms and conditions for full details

What if my domestic is ill or on holiday?
We endeavour to contact you as soon as possible with
alternate cover for your needs
Can I have the same domestic each time?
Yes........we endeavour to place the same regular domestic
with you again for continuity

Would home clean help with an after dinner / party
cleaning
Yes of course we can and appreciate there is so much
planning and organising beforehand that there is little energy
for the next day 'after clean'. We offer to take the stress away
while you put your feet up
What about those extra jobs that come up?
That's fine - we encourage Clients to leave a note on the day
for specifics or priorites to be done in normal time scale,
however if you require extra time one week contact the office
to be accommodated
Who do I pay?
Home Clean Domestic Cleaning Ltd........You will be invoiced
direct from Home Clean Domestic Cleaning Ltd by post or
email. Invoices are normally sent out the 3rd week of the
month. You may pay by return cheque or bank transfer.
Payment details will be supplied on the invoice
How do you vet your sfaff?
We hold initial interviews, check proof of identity and home
address (usually passport / driving licence etc), follow up at
least 2 references related to domestic work and insist they
are police checked
